Showing the cradle and rocker box. The cradle is lined with felt to protect the tube and make balancing easier. Carriage bolt across the top of the cradle can be adjusted in tension to allow the tube to slide or remain in a desired position.

Note the small bumper on the front of the rocker to cushion inadvertant crashes, (Hate to mar that purple paint....).
